Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care within your scope as an RN
- Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
- Educate patients and families on condition management, medications, and aftercare
- Respond to emergencies and escalations calmly and effectively
- Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate clinical records
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license (active and in good standing). NC licensure expected for this location
- Minimum clinical competency in medication administration and patient assessment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS if applicable to unit
- Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts and adapting to the travel assignment environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and required facility onboarding
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program required for RN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of adult and/or geriatric nursing practices and procedures
- Skilled in patient assessment, wound care, and IV/med administration (as applicable)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical setting
- Good infection control practices and safety-focused care
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
