Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat outpatient orthopedic, neurologic, post-surgical and spine patients with evidence-based interventions
• Develop individualized treatment plans that help patients regain function and return to daily life
• Document thorough, timely patient care in Meditech and learn clinic EMR workflows
• Collaborate with PTAs, rehab aides, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate excellent care
• Manage a daily caseload (approximately 9–11 patients/day) while maintaining clinical quality and attention to detail
• Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and safe functional progression
• Participate in department orientation and ongoing team communication to support clinic operations

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Physical Therapist license (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (outpatient experience preferred)
• Comfortable navigating laptops and learning new EMR systems (Meditech experience is a plus)
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and attention to detail in a busy outpatient setting
• Ability to manage an individual caseload and collaborate with PTA and rehab aide staff
• Willingness to complete department-specific orientation (approximately 12 hours)

Knowledge & Skills

• Outpatient physical therapy best practices (orthopedics, neurology, post-surgical and spine care)
• Caseload management: efficient scheduling and patient flow for 9–11 patients/day
• Proficiency with EMR charting (Meditech preferred) and basic laptop/computer skills
• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, patient education and functional training
• Strong clinical documentation, critical thinking and time management
• Collaborative care delivery with PTAs, aides and interdisciplinary team members
