Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients to restore mobility, function, and strength
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs with measurable goals
• Complete accurate EMR documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Communicate effectively with physicians and care team members to coordinate patient treatment
• Manage patient follow-up, authorizations, test results, and scheduling with professionalism
• Participate in clinic marketing and referral activities to support practice growth
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards to protect patient privacy and safety

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Active or pending Physical Therapist license in California (must hold license or plan to test soon)
• Experience with outpatient/rehabilitation settings preferred
• Proficiency with EMR systems and electronic documentation
• Knowledge of ICD-10/DX coding and PT billing practices (Medicare, work-comp, auto, liens, cash-pay)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting patient transfers
• Strong communication skills and ability to make independent clinical decisions
• Comfort supervising PT Assistants and coordinating with front office staff

Education

• Degree in Physical Therapy

• HIPAA compliance and patient privacy best practices
• PT billing procedures across payer types
• Basic computer skills: typing, Word, internet, email
