Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned adult patients to determine functional status and therapy needs
• Plan and implement individualized therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by physicians
• Provide consulting physical therapist services to the interdisciplinary team and other clinical staff
• Document patient care and progress thoroughly in Meditech EMR
• Deliver primary coverage in acute inpatient rehab and support secondary ICF/SNF rehab needs
• Be available to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hospital operations

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii Physical Therapy license required by the start of the assignment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 6 months experience working with adults in at least one of these settings: Acute, Rehab Hospital, or SNF
• Primary experience in acute inpatient rehab preferred
• Experience using Meditech EMR is a strong plus
• Ability to work variable schedules including weekends and holidays

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree in Physical Therapy preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in patient evaluation and re-evaluation
• Therapeutic program planning and implementation
• Experience with acute inpatient rehab and ICF/SNF rehab workflows
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for charting and documentation
• Ability to provide consultative PT services and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Comfort managing variable schedules and adapting to site-specific protocols
