Roles & Responsibilities
- Complete thorough evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans that help residents reclaim communication and independence
- Provide evidence-based therapy in speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia to improve quality of life
- Educate families, caregivers, and staff on practical communication and swallowing strategies
- Document services clearly and efficiently so care teams and families stay informed
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate excellent, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active California SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- SNF experience preferred but not required; clinically confident new-to-SNF clinicians are welcome
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills to make timely, person-focused decisions
- Ability to document clearly and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
