Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, gait training, and therapeutic exercise
- Implement treatment plans under PT supervision to improve function and independence
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and timely in the medical record
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate residents and caregivers on safe techniques and home exercise programs
- Maintain a safe treatment environment and comply with facility protocols
Qualifications
- Active CA PTA License required
- SNF experience preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and hands-on PTA skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work full-time for the 13-week contract assignment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic interventions, transfers, and gait training
- Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and treatment implementation
- Familiarity with SNF workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with elderly or medically complex residents
- Basic proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation standards
