Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients and perform vital signs, intake tasks, and room preparation
• Document patient encounters and chart accurately using AEHR and Meditech
• Perform EKGs (training provided) and assist providers with minor procedures
• Administer vaccines and assist with wound care, splinting, and stitches when needed
• Manage patient phone calls and coordinate follow-up with providers
• Stock and maintain exam rooms to ensure a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate closely with providers, CNAs and CMAs to deliver excellent primary care

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in North Dakota (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Clinic or outpatient experience preferred
• Familiarity with AEHR and/or Meditech is a strong plus
• Comfortable performing EKGs and learning minor procedure assistance (training provided)
• Ability to float across primary care departments including Pediatrics, Family, OB, Walk-in, and Internal Medicine
• Willingness to complete required RTO upfront and comply with the 50-mile radius rule; not employed PRN/part-time/full-time with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity in the past year

Education

• LPN / Practical Nurse diploma or vocational nursing certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and basic clinical procedures across newborns to geriatrics
• Electronic charting (AEHR, Meditech) and strong documentation habits
• EKG competency or willingness to be trained
• Excellent time management and teamwork skills
• Strong communication, problem solving, and ability to work independently
• Comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient clinic seeing up to 25–50 patients/day
