Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI and MRA exams safely and efficiently to support optimal patient flow
- Prepare patients with empathy and cultural sensitivity, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Operate MRI scanners and monitor image quality, adjusting protocols as needed
- Work with PACS and RIS systems to archive and retrieve studies, ensuring accurate documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely imaging results
- Maintain strict MRI safety standards and infection control procedures at all times
- Assist in patient positioning, contrast administration protocols when indicated, and post-procedure care
- Contribute to equipment maintenance checks, inventory management, and department improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Arizona State Radiology License (required)
- ARRT RT(R) certification (required)
- ARRT MR certification (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required)
- Minimum of three (3) years of MRI procedural experience (required)
- Experience using PACS and RIS systems, plus general computer and email proficiency
- Completion of radiology training from an AMA-approved school of Radiology
Education
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of MRI and MRA protocols and sequence selection
- Familiarity with PACS and RIS workflows and DICOM image handling
- Solid understanding of MRI safety, screening, and implant/device evaluation
- Patient-centered communication and cultural competence, especially with Navajo and Hopi communities
- Ability to troubleshoot image quality issues and perform basic scanner QA
- Proficiency with common clinical IT tools, email, and electronic documentation
- Time management skills to run efficient scanner schedules and support patient flow
- Teamwork mindset and the ability to collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and ancillary staff
