Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, bedside nursing care to residents in a rehab and nursing setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient status, and changes in condition
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions to ensure continuity
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the facility’s documentation system
- Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license (Massachusetts license preferred or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Education
- LPN: Vocational diploma or certificate in practical nursing
- RN (if applicable): Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in medication administration and resident assessment
- Skilled at wound care, ADL assistance, and mobility support
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting abilities
- Good clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization
- Ability to build rapport with residents and support family communication
