Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and essential nursing support for assigned residents
• Administer medications and treatments accurately within LPN scope
• Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs and report changes promptly
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain clear electronic records
• Collaborate with RNs, providers and the care team to develop and follow care plans
• Support wound care, IV assistance and other delegated nursing tasks as appropriate
• Educate residents and families on care plans and promote a safe environment
• Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (must be valid in North Carolina)
• Active basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification as required by facility
• Comfortable working 12-hour rotations and adapting to alternating-week schedules
• Clinical experience caring for adult or geriatric populations preferred
• Clean background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent
• Completion of required clinical training for LPN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medication administration and documentation skills
• Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
