Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU following established protocols
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage infusions and titrate drips with precision
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other critical-care equipment
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Lead time-sensitive interventions during emergencies and support rapid response efforts
• Document assessments, interventions and patient progress accurately in the EHR
• Educate patients and families about care plans, clinical status and discharge expectations

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New York or ability to obtain licensure promptly for this assignment
• Critical care/ICU clinical experience (prior ICU experience required)
• BLS certification required and ACLS certification required or obtainable quickly
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize and manage multiple critically ill patients
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset for team-based care
• Ability to start quickly for this urgent, quick-start contract

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced patient assessment and interpretation of hemodynamic data
• Experience with ventilator management and airway support
• Medication administration and IV infusion/drip titration skills
• Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment and alarm management
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Critical thinking, rapid decision-making and crisis management
• Strong teamwork, communication and patient/family education skills
