Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU following established protocols
- Monitor hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage infusions and titrate drips with precision
- Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other critical-care equipment
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
- Lead time-sensitive interventions during emergencies and support rapid response efforts
- Document assessments, interventions and patient progress accurately in the EHR
- Educate patients and families about care plans, clinical status and discharge expectations
Qualifications
- Current RN license in New York or ability to obtain licensure promptly for this assignment
- Critical care/ICU clinical experience (prior ICU experience required)
- BLS certification required and ACLS certification required or obtainable quickly
- Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize and manage multiple critically ill patients
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset for team-based care
- Ability to start quickly for this urgent, quick-start contract
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced patient assessment and interpretation of hemodynamic data
- Experience with ventilator management and airway support
- Medication administration and IV infusion/drip titration skills
- Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment and alarm management
- Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
- Critical thinking, rapid decision-making and crisis management
- Strong teamwork, communication and patient/family education skills
