Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans and X-ray exams in both the emergency department and outpatient x-ray room
- Prioritize and execute trauma imaging quickly and accurately in a Level I trauma environment
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety and infection-control protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, ER staff, and other clinicians to support rapid diagnosis and treatment
- Document procedures and patient information thoroughly in the medical record and PACS
- Provide compassionate patient care—positioning, communication, and monitoring during imaging
- Assist with safe patient transfers and the physical demands of imaging patients when needed
Qualifications
- Active AART CT certification (required)
- Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required)
- Minimum of 1 year experience performing both CT and X-ray imaging (required)
- Preferred: 2+ years experience in Level I trauma and emergency department imaging
- Comfort with a fast-paced trauma environment and ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong technical skill with CT and X-ray equipment and imaging protocols
- Experience with emergency radiology and trauma imaging workflows
- Ability to produce diagnostic-quality images under time pressure
- Familiarity with PACS, radiology documentation, and basic troubleshooting
- Excellent patient positioning, communication, and safety practices
- Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills for multidisciplinary care
