Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans and X-ray exams in both the emergency department and outpatient x-ray room
• Prioritize and execute trauma imaging quickly and accurately in a Level I trauma environment
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety and infection-control protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists, ER staff, and other clinicians to support rapid diagnosis and treatment
• Document procedures and patient information thoroughly in the medical record and PACS
• Provide compassionate patient care—positioning, communication, and monitoring during imaging
• Assist with safe patient transfers and the physical demands of imaging patients when needed

Qualifications

• Active AART CT certification (required)
• Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required)
• Minimum of 1 year experience performing both CT and X-ray imaging (required)
• Preferred: 2+ years experience in Level I trauma and emergency department imaging
• Comfort with a fast-paced trauma environment and ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong technical skill with CT and X-ray equipment and imaging protocols
• Experience with emergency radiology and trauma imaging workflows
• Ability to produce diagnostic-quality images under time pressure
• Familiarity with PACS, radiology documentation, and basic troubleshooting
• Excellent patient positioning, communication, and safety practices
• Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills for multidisciplinary care
