Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer infusion and chemotherapy treatments safely and accurately according to protocol
• Perform thorough patient assessments before, during, and after infusions to monitor response and side effects
• Document all care and medications clearly and promptly in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with oncology providers, pharmacists, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, infusion expectations, and symptom management
• Respond quickly and effectively to infusion reactions and emergent situations using BLS standards
• Maintain sterile technique and infusion pump competency while adhering to chemotherapy safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Current California RN license (required)
• Chemotherapy certification with recent chemotherapy administration experience (required)
• Recent infusion clinic experience (required)
• Minimum four years of acute nursing experience in an oncology setting (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Experience with EPIC EMR (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in infusion therapy and chemotherapy administration
• Strong oncology nursing knowledge and symptom management
• Proficiency documenting and navigating EPIC EMR
• IV access, infusion pump operation, and sterile technique
• Patient education and effective communication skills
• Ability to recognize and manage infusion reactions and emergencies
