Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients with skill and compassion
Assess and monitor patients continuously, interpreting hemodynamic and ventilator data
Administer medications and titrate drips safely and accurately
Respond rapidly to emergencies and stabilize patients as part of the code team
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the medical record
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families during critical moments

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or appropriate compact licensure
Clinical experience in Critical Care / ICU nursing (ICU skillset required)
Current BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
Comfort with ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and advanced monitoring
Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and intervention
Ventilator management and respiratory support
Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
Medication administration and IV drip titration
Accurate clinical documentation and handoff communication
Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-acuity situations
