Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Clear background checks and required health screenings as per facility policy
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic proficiency with documentation and following care plans
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for resident care (standing, lifting, assisting)
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail for monitoring resident status
• Good communication and teamwork skills with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Respectful, patient-centered approach to care
