Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
Monitor and assess patients continuously, responding to changes rapidly
Administer medications, IV therapies and manage complex ventilator settings
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one
Critical care (ICU) clinical experience and comfort with high-acuity patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced ICU environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment and telemetry
Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway care
Skilled in titration of vasoactive and critical care medications
Excellent documentation, communication and patient advocacy skills
Ability to perform rapid assessments and lead code/rapid response situations
