Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care in Interventional Radiology, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage moderate sedation per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to support procedures like angiograms, biopsies, and cerebral coiling
• Operate and document using the Meditech EMR and device monitoring systems
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and discharge instructions
• Act independently when needed while contributing positively to a small, high-performing IR team

Qualifications

• Active NH Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience — Procedural departments, critical care, or emergency department experience preferred
• Experience with moderate sedation and procedural nursing practices
• Comfort working independently in a procedural suite and as part of a collaborative team
• Must live within a 40-minute radius of the hospital or be able to meet local reporting expectations

Knowledge & Skills

• Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab familiarity
• Procedural nursing skills and peri-procedural patient management
• Meditech EMR proficiency
• Experience with Philips Bi-Plane, GE monitoring, and GE Mac Lab equipment
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and moderate sedation skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
