Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on physical therapy evaluation and treatment for orthopedic patients to improve function and reduce pain
• Develop individualized care plans that align with surgical protocols and patient goals
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless perioperative and post-operative care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safe mobility, and injury prevention
• Document patient progress clearly and timely to support outcomes and transitions of care
• Assess and modify treatment plans based on objective outcomes and patient response

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Colorado or eligible for Colorado licensure
• Experience in orthopedics or post-operative rehab preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy; equivalent qualifications considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in orthopedic evaluation and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Proficient with manual therapy techniques and post-op protocols
• Knowledge of mobility, gait training, and assistive device progression
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records and outcome measurement tools
• Ability to triage and prioritize patients in a fast-paced clinical environment
