Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 04-03-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; specific days and start/end times not specified and will be confirmed by the scheduling team

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics
Maintain cleanliness of the resident environment and adhere to infection control practices
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Document care thoroughly and timely in the facility’s charting system

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and any facility-required screenings
Demonstrated compassion, strong communication skills, and reliability
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient-centered care and assistance with ADLs
Basic clinical skills: taking temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
Safe transfer and positioning techniques
Infection prevention and control procedures
Accurate documentation and basic computer charting familiarity
Teamwork, effective communication, and time management
