Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care for geriatric patients, assisting with activities of daily living
Support mobility and fall-prevention efforts to keep patients safe and independent
Assist nursing staff with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and ambulation
Monitor and document patient status and changes, communicating clearly with the care team
Create a respectful, dignified environment that promotes patient comfort and recovery
Help maintain a clean, safe patient area and adhere to infection control practices

Qualifications

Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehab/geriatric environment
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Willingness to complete facility-required screenings and trainings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ADLs and basic geriatric care needs
Basic patient transfer and safe mobility techniques
Familiarity with documentation and reporting practices
Awareness of infection control and patient safety principles
Good interpersonal skills with patients, families, and clinical teams
