Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to adult patients
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ED
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocol and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document patient status, interventions, and changes clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Respond to emergent situations with calm, efficient clinical action

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must meet state requirements for practice)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (documented in job details)
• Emergency Department experience preferred or demonstrated competency
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and triage skills for adult emergency patients
• Familiarity with ED workflows, documentation systems, and triage protocols
• Ability to prioritize under pressure and manage multiple critical patients
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Proficiency with common ED equipment and emergency interventions
