Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely manner
• Assist with feeding and hydration, and document intake as required
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations in the resident record
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care that preserves dignity

Qualifications

• Current and active CNA certification (or equivalent) in Pennsylvania, or eligibility to obtain one
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working directly with patients and assisting with personal care
• Ability to pass required background checks and facility-mandated health screenings
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of patient care and basic clinical procedures
• Infection control and proper use of personal protective equipment
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to support residents with empathy
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
