Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in the ED with compassion and clinical excellence
Rapidly assess, triage and prioritize patients based on acuity to ensure timely interventions
Administer medications and treatments per scope of practice and provider orders while documenting thoroughly
Collaborate with ED physicians, advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans and discharge instructions in a clear, caring way
Maintain accurate patient records and communicate handoffs effectively to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Hampshire or eligible for licensure in NH
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Emergency credentials such as ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Previous emergency department nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent communication skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
IV therapy, medication administration and wound care
Familiarity with ED workflows, fast-paced decision making and crisis management
Electronic health record documentation and good charting practices
Team collaboration, clear communication and patient-centered care
