Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with mobility, bathing, dressing and feeding while protecting dignity
Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Accurately document care given and resident status in charts and electronic records
Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and family members to support continuity of care
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA preferred)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a caring attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role and reliable transportation to the facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing and patient care skills
Familiarity with ADL assistance and resident mobility support
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
Comfortable with charting/documentation and following care plans
Good observational skills for noticing changes in resident condition
