Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (primary). On-call coverage: 1-2 weeknights per week and 1 weekend per month; day-focused schedule with occasional night/on-call responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality peri-procedural nursing care in a busy endoscopy unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort during EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP
• Function as both circulating and scrub nurse as needed, anticipating team needs and maintaining efficient procedural flow
• Perform scope processing and reprocessing according to facility protocol using Medivator systems
• Document care accurately in the EMR using Meditech and Provation
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other nursing staff to manage variable case volumes and prioritize care
• Respond to on-call coverage requests for weeknight and weekend needs and support patient care transitions to pre-op/PACU when required

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in Texas or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; endoscopy/procedural experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience circulating and/or scrubbing in endoscopy cases
• Familiarity with Olympus scopes and Medivator scope processing preferred
• Comfortable with floating to pre-op and PACU as needed
• Strong communication skills and excellent bedside manner; adaptable and team-oriented
• BLS required; ACLS and other relevant certifications preferred where applicable

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven knowledge of endoscopy procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP
• Experience with scope processing and sterile technique
• Competency with Meditech EMR and Provation documentation systems
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced procedural environment and prioritize patient safety
• Familiarity with OR workflows and peri-procedural nursing best practices
