Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care with speed, accuracy, and compassion
• Triage, assess, and prioritize patients in the ED to ensure timely treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and document thoroughly
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Contribute to a positive, safety-focused unit culture through teamwork and clear communication

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential (required)
• Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience or strong interest in emergency nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or required per facility
• Current state RN license (New Hampshire license or appropriate compact privilege)
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity clinical settings
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred where indicated by facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, and ACLS/BLS protocols
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in the ED
• Teamwork, conflict resolution, and effective communication under pressure
