Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Support bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting to maintain dignity and comfort
• Assist with meal setup and feeding assistance as needed to ensure nutrition and safety
• Monitor residents’ conditions overnight, report changes promptly, and document observations clearly
• Float between two floors as needed to support staffing and continuity of care
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to deliver person-centered long-term care
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and team members

Qualifications

• Current CNA credential (Certified Nursing Assistant) or equivalent
• Experience providing ADL support, bathing assistance, and meal assistance in a long-term care setting preferred
• Comfort and experience working night shift hours (overnight caregiving)
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility; comfortable floating between floors
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of ADLs and basic long-term care resident needs
• Knowledge of infection control, safety, and basic patient observation
• Skillful at documentation and communicating changes in resident condition
• Ability to manage time effectively during overnight shifts and prioritize resident needs
• Flexibility to adapt to floor assignments and changing resident acuity
