Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and residents, supporting daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and positioning to reduce fall risk
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient status and care provided
• Communicate effectively with nurses, interdisciplinary team members, and families
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe environment
• Support a positive patient experience through empathy, professionalism, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active state CNA credential or eligibility to obtain one in Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care is a plus
• Ability to pass facility-required health screenings (e.g., TB test, immunizations)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
• Knowledge of basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Good observational skills to notice changes in patient condition
• Ability to follow care plans, directions from nursing staff, and facility policies
• Dependable time management and the ability to work collaboratively
