Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Support safe patient handling and mobility, encouraging independence when possible
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the care team promptly
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and comfort measures while preserving dignity
• Accurately document care activities and observations in resident records
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania certification required or eligible to obtain
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfort with physical aspects of the role (standing, lifting, assisting residents)
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Previous direct-care experience preferred but new grads who are eager and reliable are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (required for certification)

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Charting and documentation best practices
• Infection prevention and control
• Safe patient handling techniques
• Teamwork, time management, and strong interpersonal skills
