Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely per facility policy
• Perform regular patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Document care thoroughly and timely in the medical record
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharge processes with attention to detail
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Practice and promote infection control and safety standards at all times
• Educate patients and families on care plans and daily routines in a clear, respectful way

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in North Carolina (required)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Ability to work night shifts and function effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Clear background check and required facility onboarding completed prior to start

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or vocational nursing diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
• Comfortable performing bedside assessments and reporting clinical changes
• Skilled at wound care basics, vital signs, and ADL support
• Good interpersonal skills for patient, family, and team communication
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Strong time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
