Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on personal care to residents, maintaining dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document care provided accurately and clearly in resident records
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Help create a calm, reassuring environment during night shift hours

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active/state CNA license in good standing as required by Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable and experienced working night shifts and PRN schedules
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required onboarding

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with common ADLs and basic nursing documentation
• Ability to observe and report subtle changes in resident status
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management skills for efficient care during overnight hours
• Basic infection control practices and adherence to facility policies
