Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead daily department operations to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Supervise and assign duties to nursing staff, promoting teamwork and accountability
- Apply the nursing process and quality improvement principles to drive excellent outcomes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and hospital policy
- Provide backup support to the Emergency Department when needed
- Coach and mentor staff to develop skills and maintain high standards of care
- Act as a clear communicator between multidisciplinary teams and patients/families
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
- At least 1 year of leadership or charge nurse experience
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with clinical supervision, staff assignment, and department oversight
Education
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)

- Patient care and acute care nursing expertise
- Regulatory compliance and quality improvement principles
- Staff assignment, supervision, and leadership capabilities
- Department operations and emergency department support
- Typing and general computer skills for documentation
- Time management, organization, and effective verbal communication
