Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging for emergency department patients in a Level I trauma center
- Prioritize and triage incoming ED CT requests to support rapid, life-saving care
- Operate CT equipment safely and proficiently to produce diagnostic images
- Handle and position patients (including safe movement up to 50 lbs) with dignity and care
- Collaborate with ED physicians, trauma teams, and nurses to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and adhere to radiation safety protocols
Qualifications
- ARRT (RT) certification required
- ODH Radiologic Technologist License required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
- Experience performing CT in an Emergency Department or trauma setting preferred (Trauma CT experience a plus)
- Ability to safely move and position patients and work in a fast-paced Level I trauma environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Familiarity with ED workflows and trauma priorities
- Strong patient handling and communication skills under pressure
- Ability to triage imaging needs and manage multiple urgent requests
- Knowledge of radiation safety and quality assurance procedures
- Comfortable working independently on night shift with a collaborative mindset
