Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in fast-paced ER and ICU environments
• Assess, triage, and stabilize critically ill or injured patients with confidence
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to execute patient care plans
• Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs and labs, and intervene promptly when conditions change
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care with clarity and empathy
• Participate in unit safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required and current
• Experience in Emergency Room and/or Intensive Care Unit settings preferred
• Comfort with 12-hour night shifts and ability to function in high-acuity situations
• Proof of negative TB screen within 12 months of contract start date required
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment skills
• Critical care fundamentals including ventilator basics and hemodynamic monitoring
• ACLS protocols and advanced cardiac care knowledge
• Effective patient and family communication under stress
• Proficient documentation and familiarity with common EMR workflows
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic clinical environment
