Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and diagnostic X-rays with care and precision
• Position patients safely and compassionately to obtain high-quality images
• Operate and maintain CT and X-ray equipment, following safety protocols
• Ensure images meet clinical standards and assist radiologists as needed
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient and imaging records
• Communicate clearly with patients and the care team to support excellent outcomes
• Support the team in a critical access hospital environment, pitching in where needed

Qualifications

• Certified or registry-eligible CT technologist (ARRT or equivalent preferred)
• State radiologic technologist license as required by Illinois
• Proven experience with CT and X-ray modalities; critical access hospital experience a plus
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week and deliver patient-centered care

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM, and electronic medical records
• Strong patient positioning and image quality assessment skills
• Good communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a smaller hospital setting
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control and safety procedures
