Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pre-operative assessment and patient preparation in Pre-op
• Deliver attentive post-anesthesia care in PACU, monitoring recovery and vital trends
• Manage and prioritize care for patients with critical care needs during perioperative phases
• Document care accurately and efficiently using EPIC Op-time charting
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe handoffs
• Educate patients and families about pre- and post-operative instructions to support optimal recovery

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license (required)
• Proven experience in Critical Care and hospital Pre-op and PACU settings (required)
• Hands-on experience with EPIC Op-time charting (required)
• Comfort working evening-start shifts with a 4x10 schedule and no on-call

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of pre-operative assessment and PACU care processes
• Ability to perform critical care assessments and respond to post-op complications
• Proficient in EPIC Op-time charting and electronic clinical documentation
• Skilled in patient monitoring, medication administration, and post-anesthesia management
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced perioperative environment
