Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and other care team members
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
- Document resident care and observations thoroughly and timely
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous experience as a CNA is a plus; new CNAs are welcome to apply
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Ability to take and interpret vital signs
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
