Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality radiologic procedures across modalities (X‑Ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET‑CT) to support timely, accurate diagnoses
- Provide imaging services in the OR setting, collaborating closely with surgeons and perioperative teams
- Operate and QC imaging equipment, ensuring safety and image quality on every study
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff
- Document procedures thoroughly and communicate critical findings to the care team
- Deliver patient-centered care with compassion — explain procedures, position patients, and monitor comfort throughout exams
Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential (required)
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technologist license (required)
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification (required)
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred, especially prior OR imaging experience
- Comfortable working evening shifts and collaborating in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Preferred: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with X‑Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, CT and MRI imaging techniques
- Familiarity with Digital Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, PET‑CT and Ultrasound modalities
- Knowledge of radiologic safety principles and ALARA practices
- Experience operating imaging equipment in the operating room environment
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine quality checks
- Patient positioning, sterile field awareness, and perioperative communication skills
