Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, alternating 4 shifts one week and 3 shifts the next (48 hrs one week, 36 hrs the next), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, schedule covers all days of the week including weekends

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care across medical-surgical and long-term care settings
• Assess patient condition, administer medications, and document clinical observations accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure continuity of care during shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license—North Carolina RN license or valid compact RN licensure
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other certifications preferred if applicable to unit
• Travel nursing experience a plus, ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse care team
• Immunizations and background checks completed per facility requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting practices
• Time management and ability to prioritize in fast-paced settings
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient-centered approach
