Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, rotating schedule that includes weekends and holiday coverage (day)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency setting
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policies and state practice acts
- Document care accurately and timely to support continuity and quality of care
- Develop and initiate individualized patient plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the care team
- Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities
- Provide clinical guidance and expertise to other units or departments as patient needs require
- Escalate patient safety concerns and advocate for excellent patient experience through sound clinical judgment
- Engage in peer review and the professional nursing continuum to help improve clinical practice
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- TNCC or TNS required (one or the other)
- Experience as an Emergency Room RN preferred (the role calls for an experienced ER clinician)
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
