Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and/or geriatric patients on day shifts
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families to support recovery, discharge planning and ongoing health maintenance
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license valid in North Carolina
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Recent acute care or med-surg experience preferred; travel nursing experience a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Able to work the posted 12-hour day shift rotation reliably for the assignment duration
• Professional, team-oriented attitude with good communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and patient assessment
• Familiarity with IV therapy, medication administration and patient monitoring
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting in a timely manner
• Ability to prioritize, triage and multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong teamwork and patient-centered communication skills
