Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients to improve mobility, function, and strength
• Develop individualized treatment plans and update them as patients progress
• Complete thorough documentation using the EMR for evaluations, notes, and discharges
• Guide and supervise PT Assistants and Aides to ensure high-quality patient care
• Communicate clearly with physicians and interdisciplinary team members about care plans
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy in all interactions
• Assist with patient transfers, mobility support, and safe ambulation practice
• Participate in scheduling coordination and follow-up with front office staff
• Support clinic marketing and referral development when appropriate
• Maintain certifications and engage in continuing education to keep skills current

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Active license as a Physical Therapist in California, or plans to test in the near future
• Comfortable with 8-10 hour clinic days and being physically mobile throughout the day
• Ability to safely lift and assist patients up to 50 pounds
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and basic computer skills
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and DX coding practices
• Knowledge of Medicare, workers' compensation, private pay, and related billing nuances
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with physicians and staff
• Experience supervising clinical support staff (PTAs, aides) is a plus
• Commitment to patient safety, documentation accuracy, and HIPAA compliance

• Degree in Physical Therapy

• Basic computer literacy: Word processing, email, internet, scheduling systems
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions and prioritize patient care
