Shift Type: Day shift, 8-hour shifts with varied start times; primarily Monday through Friday with some weekends required (Day)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the outpatient operating room
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure sterile fields are established and preserved
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes
- Prepare patients for surgery and provide clear, compassionate education and reassurance
- Respond effectively in trauma or emergent situations at this Level II Trauma center
- Float to the main OR when needed to support surgical volume and team needs
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Nurse license (required)
- Current BLS and CPR certifications (required)
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience (required)
- EPIC experience (required) to handle perioperative documentation with confidence
- Successful completion of prior travel assignments preferred
- ACLS preferred
- PALS preferred
- Willingness to work some weekends and float to main OR as needed
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
- Comfortable with outpatient surgery workflows and rapid patient turnover
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical records
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate clearly in fast-paced OR settings
- Familiarity with trauma protocols and Level II Trauma center processes
- Teamwork mindset and adaptability when floating between outpatient and main OR
