Shift Type: Second shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; days to be confirmed (Evening)

Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to support resident dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, always putting resident safety first
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
- Support a warm, home-like environment by engaging residents in meaningful conversation and activities
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Valid state CNA license as required by Maine regulations
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable performing physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting residents
- Clear background check and ability to pass required facility screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centered approach
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and resident assistance techniques
- Familiarity with vital sign measurement and documentation
- Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling
- Good oral and written communication skills for team coordination
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with residents and families
