Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and promptly
• Document care and resident changes clearly in the charting system
• Communicate observations and concerns to nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Support safe resident transfers and mobility using proper lifting techniques
• Contribute to a positive resident experience through kindness, patience, and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Valid CNA credential in Maine or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working in a fast-paced care setting
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care, ADLs, and infection control practices
• Ability to take and record vital signs and recognize changes in resident condition
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for residents and families
• Reliable time management and the ability to follow care plans
