Shift Type: Rotating nights, typically 3 shifts/week (schedule varies by unit), 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Night shift - 36 hours/week with 24 hours guaranteed. Must be willing to float to Med Surg/Telemetry as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to ICU/CCU patients using sound clinical judgment
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac and respiratory conditions, including telemetry and ventilator support
• Document care and communicate effectively using EPIC - proficiency is required
• Float to Med Surg or Telemetry units when needed and deliver consistent, safe care across settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Maintain required certifications and licensure, and complete mandated onboarding trainings
• Participate in unit orientation and contribute to a positive, professional work environment

Qualifications

• Current New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 5 years RN experience, with at least 3 years in ICU/CCU required
• EPIC experience and demonstrated proficiency (please note on your profile)
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Travel nursing experience required; ability to provide supervisory signed references from past 2 years
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and reliable personal transportation (own vehicle required)
• Complete skills checklist current to within 1 year and Nursys verification
• Ability to pass a 14-panel drug screen per facility requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced critical care assessment and intervention skills
• EPIC electronic health record proficiency for documentation and order management
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Safe med administration, titration of infusions, and central line care
• Ability to adapt quickly and float to Med Surg/Telemetry when needed
• Verbal de-escalation and crisis prevention training (Welle or CPI preferred)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-family engagement skills
