Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour
Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients thoroughly and develop individualized treatment plans that aim for real functional gains
- Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques
- Document evaluations, treatment goals, and progress clearly and on time
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to coordinate care
- Delegate and supervise appropriate tasks to PTAs and support staff to meet patient goals
- Educate patients and families to empower recovery and long-term wellness
- Practice within the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act and department procedures to ensure safe, compliant care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist program
- Illinois Physical Therapy license required, or eligible for a temporary work permit
- Prior demonstrable experience preferred; 1 year in a hospital setting preferred and outpatient experience expected
- Experience supervising PTA or working with support staff
- Strong documentation skills and knowledge of Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act
- Friendly communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
Education
- Graduate of accredited Physical Therapist program

- Accurate clinical documentation and charting
- Supervision and delegation to PTAs and support staff
