Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Support residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, and meal assistance
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Keep clear, timely, and accurate documentation of care provided
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver person centered care
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Completion of a state approved CNA training program
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Willingness to pass facility required background and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of state approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of resident care and activities of daily living
- Basic infection control practices and safe handling techniques
- Ability to follow care plans and document observations accurately
- Teamwork, time management, and respectful communication with residents and families
- Familiarity with safe transfer and positioning practices
