Shift Type: Primarily 5x 8-hour day or evening shifts per week with rotating weekends; very rare 10-hour night coverage as needed (rotating)

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory testing across generalist areas to support patient diagnosis and care
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure quality results
- Interpret and validate test results, escalating critical values per protocol
- Maintain meticulous documentation and follow established quality control procedures
- Collaborate with clinicians and lab team members to improve workflows and patient outcomes
- Contribute to competency assessments, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California clinical laboratory license required
- ASCP certification or HEW certification required
- Clinical Lab Scientist generalist experience (bench-level generalist responsibilities)
- Comfort with rotating weekends and willingness to provide rare night coverage (10-hour nights as needed)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Knowledge & Skills
- Generalist clinical laboratory knowledge across core disciplines
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, QC processes, and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret and communicate results clearly and professionally
- Team-oriented communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with regulatory and safety requirements in a clinical lab setting
