Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and timely in resident records
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and coworkers
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) — proof of training/class noted
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
- Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
- Basic patient handling and safe transfer techniques
- Accurate documentation and observation skills
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Infection control and hygiene best practices
